Arts for all...better than medicine

Creative activities across West Lothian to improve isolation, mental and physical health of those in need.

Improving lives, one person at a time

Generation Arts engages people across West Lothian in non-competitive, expressive and creative activities that promote independence, confidence and good mental and physical health.

Better Connected

Helping those in need who are isolated and would like to feel more connection with others in the local community.

Improving Physical Health

Our range of classes are easily adapted to suit your abilities and needs, and regular physical activity will help improve your physical health.

Improving Mental Health

Connecting with others in the local community and moving your body can help improve mental health in the long run.

We coordinate activity in local arts venues, as well as community centres, day care, residential care homes and other places at the heart of West Lothian’s many communities. Our partners are West Lothian Council Community Arts, Age Scotland, West Lothian Council Social Policy, West Lothian 50+ Network, Ageing Well, Care Activity Network and Health in Later Life group. We all work with older people and recognise that by pulling together and sharing information we can have a greater holistic beneficial effect to create healthier happier communities.
